I was great to be back out with Nikon - this particular course was rescheduled twice because of Covid-19. As with all of the Nikon courses, there always really helpful advice from Neil and Ricci when needed, otherwise they just let you get on with taking pictures - the thing I really like about the Nikon courses is that they get you to some great locations and give you the time to find your own images - no 'tripod holes' on the Nikon courses.

As ever the day was excellent. The locations were perfect, and the guidance and attention the VIP format gave was brilliant. Neil manages the balance between supporting and letting us get on with our shooting just right.

Ricci put this across well. Having an understanding of the controls before hand has a benefit, Ricci explains the functions of the controls to give you a better understanding how to get the best from the camera. A very well explained course and worth taking. In my opinion if you know how to work the camera properly it will help you to take better images or video depending on your preference.

Good place of course, learnt about the camera basics plus also general photo advice. These off topic tangents I found more interesting, examples - Z lenses optimised for wide apertures, high ISO behaviour of Zs allowing faster shutter speeds.

The day was a well thought out location with varied content to suit all landscape photographers. We had waterfalls, with the hope of seeing salmon leaping, old walled lanes and tracks from a bygone era to a backdrop of majestic Pen y Ghent and Ingleborough. two of Yorkshire’s Three Peaks. Neil was on hand throughout with all any help needed and at each location gave us a run down of composition, settings and what worked (or didn’t ) in the image. All in all a brilliant day. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed the day out with Neil at Stainforth. The weather and location were superb. I'm a fairly novice photographer so it was a great opportunity to be guided by a pro. I now need to build on what I learnt and get out to take more pictures so I can come back with plenty of questions for next time!

Wish I'd done this course 2 years, when I first got my D500. Up until now, I'd been using techniques and settings I'd used with older cameras, but the course opened my eyes to making use of the advanced features of the camera and doing things differently and better. All the course content delivered in a highly professional way.
