I thought this course was excellent! I had some concerns that the ‘Zoom’ format wouldn’t work very well, but in fact Ricci’s excellent training style, huge knowledge and the ease with which questions can be posted through the course made it all work very well. I liked the way that we covered the techniques of focusing but also looked at other ways in which focusing can appear to be compromised eg slow shutter speed. Superb images were used throughout to illustrate various points. Top marks!

Having attended the previous 2 days courses in Northumberland, I felt more confident with some of the techniques, and was able to concentrate more on achieving an interesting composition in my shots. Again plenty of advice and suggestions from Neil and Ricci, who willingly share their knowledge. Attending these courses has nspired me to try to further develop my skills, and has resulted in me joining my local camera club.

A great day in varied locations that were chosen to get the best from the light and state of the tide. Plenty of tips and advice on camera settings, filter use and composition. Neil and Ricci's knowledge of the locations and best viewpoints provided many opportunities to experiment with techniques to obtain shots that I probably wouldn't have achieved without their suggestions.

Rain did not stop play like in cricket. Neil and Ricci adapted the programme, and the time was well spent covering a range of topics that were raised by the participants. An hour break in the conditions allowed some photography of the castle, with tips galore from the tutors, followed by a masterclass in editing some of the images obtained. Learnt so much about many aspects of photography.

Having continued to use Adobe Bridge and Photoshop CS6, I wanted to upgrade to the latest Photoshop and Lightroom. Being so busy rather than try to pick it up on my own, a 3 hour introduction to Lightroom where I could ask questions and find out what I need to was ideal. Neil was great at explaining the benefits and showing the power of Lightroom to the extent that Photoshop is only really needed for advanced editing. I felt confident to install and use Lightroom following the training.

Having used on camera speedlights, I wanted to explore the more advanced options of what speedlights can do, high speed sync, and remote flash using a master or commander. Ricci was very knowledgable, explaining everything in an easy to understand way, and fully able to answer all questions. I have a much better understanding of the use of speedlights as a result and cannot wait to experiment to get more out of my photography.
