Having used my Z9s for a couple of months now, shooting almost exclusively amateur sport, I was keen to explore the auto-focus options a bit more fully and find out something about the video capabilities - especially since I have never used a DSLR for video before. The course gave me the essential basics about video to help me avoid the most obvious errors, and clarified several other aspects which gave me the confidence to finish setting up the rest of the menus.

This was an exciting day out on the Solent in a catamaran to capture the action at the Cowes Regatta. There was plenty of clear safety advice at the start and lots of useful technical info from Ricci. Throughout the day our boat moved around to get us in amongst the action, of which there was planty. A great experience!

With a sport like yacht racing, the only way of getting good photos is to get in the right place and this activity certainly did that. We were taken to location after location where we could see the boats up close, watch them competing and take a whole range of photos, from vistas with dozens of boats to the close-up action on a single deck. Great skipper, first class tuition on hand and excellent fun.

I found the instructor to be very knowledgeable and who demonstrated the various techniques with examples of photos he had to exhibit. slightly disappointed that we could not go away with course material or be made available later for revision and going over various techniques discussed. in a 3 hour course there is a lot to take in and inevitable not all is taken in first time
