I wish I had taken this course the day I bought my D850. It was a great interactive and comprehensive review of most of the important issues around using and enjoying the D850. Very simple explanations of what are sometimes quite subtle concepts. I particularly benefitted from sessions on how to get the best sharpness in my shots when using a high definition sensor such at that in the D850. After a warm welcome from Neil, we talked through cameras settings, techniques, gear and ideas for shooting, which set us up nicely for the rest of the day. The rest of the day was all hands-on shooting. Neil kept us moving at a sensible pace to different locations on the clifftops at RSPB Bempton. This was a very rewarding and enjoyable lesson. Everything I needed to know was clarified. There was great interaction between tutor and pupil. Based on this course, I spent a couple of hours with my camera and flash trying out all the topics and advice given. I now genuinely feel that I, for the first time, understand Speedlight photography completely.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone - even those with reasonable understanding of flash.

VIP Experience at Stainforth was an adventure and a lesson in landscape photography. At a personal level, this course simply improved my knowledge of camera, composition, filters and exposure. Neil's knowledge about photography and his skill in explaining the different aspects of it in a practical way as well as making it interesting are praiseworthy.

I love how Ricci, tried and get an idea of the students in his class, and tailor the content of the course for them. He went over a lot of the lighting gear, and techniques that are often not fully understood and brought some clarity to them. While lighting is a deep subject I believe the course aimed at clarifying the fundamentals and get you thinking about how you could build stuff up.
