I had a fabulous evening at Didcot Railway Centre in the atmosphere of steam trains, the air filled with steam and smoke, lighting and period dressed actors to give feel of being back in the age of steam. The experience and advice of Ricci and Neil was invaluable. I learnt so much about my camera and photography and came home with plenty of wonderful photographs.

The experience provided a unique mix a photographing portrait and steam train together. The models were brilliant in the cold weather and had an incredible ability to stay still. The backdrop of the steam trains were stunning.

This was a great place to visit - may well go back on a different day to just appreciate the engines gathered together here. But really special to be there with all the lights and smoke and models providing so many different scenarios to capture. It was challenging to shoot in the lowish light and smoke, sometimes needing manual focussing and long exposures, but great practice to develop those skills. Appreciated it being quite a small friendly group swapping places and tips. Really enjoyable

A thoroughly excellent course. Ideal as I made the switch from DSLR to mirrorless. Especially impressed with how clearly and slowly Ricci spoke. Not only did this make it easy to follow and understand him, but also to make the odd note or check something on my own camera. He obviously knew everything about his subject being able to answer questions, thoroughly and politely, on what the cameras could and could not do. Very good way of demonstrating the focus area modes. Highly recommendable

Excellent course. Well presented, perfect pace, questions encourage and answered. I learnt so much more about my camera than I could have learnt from a book, I would highly recommend this if you want to get the best out of your new camera. My photos I took the next day were noticeably better.

I am new to the Nikon z6ii and i had bought a manual but was finding it to dense ans hard to follow. The practical Nikon school zoom sessions are really hellong me to understand the camera because they are brilliantly structured step by step and the trainer is very attentive to answering questions in the chat along the way. The trainer was very knowledgable and the resources he presented were clear. I will revisit the content that i recorded again in my own time which is invaluable.
