This was the first Nikon After School Club I’d attended so I was unsure what to expect. I found it informative and interesting. The overview of the Z8 answered many of my questions about the camera. I was surprised but pleased that the presenters replied to my question about the Z7 II vs the Z8. In fact they were so effective that I ordered a Z8 the next day!

This felt like a social event but still worked in a lot of shooting and a lot of learning. Ricci was flexible to adapt the course to meet the needs of the attendees. The venue is perfect having shooting opportunities within short enjoyable strolls from the accommodation. As special mention should be made about the accommodation as it is close to idea with the proprietor (Will) understanding and taking care of the specific needs of a photography group coming and going at all hours.

It was obvious that the tutor had an excellent understanding of Nikon Z9, and a professional level of understanding regarding photography in general. I could tell that he had thought a lot about potential issues that may effect someone who had recently upgraded camera systems in relation to focussing many of which were relevant to me despite the fact that I was perhaps more unusual on the course using the Z9 for events and portraiture rather than sport or wildlife.

The zoom meeting went very smoothly and was really easy to access. The purpose of the course was clearly set, as was the format. It was easy to ask questions to either cover specific aspects of the subject, or gain clarification. An extremely useful course that explains the elaborate features of the focus system. The finer details of each of the focusing modes. Understanding this is key to selecting the right set up for successfully sharp photography.
