This is probably the best photography trip that I have ever been on. Such a wide variety of scenery and animals, some of which was almost unbelievable. Three groups of 3 delegates were led by Neil, Ricci and Chris Gomersall and spent time at two different hides to photograph red squirrels and woodland birds, as well as snow buntings near Cairngorms Mountain,, red deer, and mountain hares and other woodland birds. It was possible to try out top quality lenses and the advice and guidance from the trainers was excellent. The hotel in Grantown was comfortable and an ideal base for the week.

Another exceptional course by Neil and Ricci, demonstrating their knowledge of locations, weather patterns, and wildlife behaviour, to get delegates to the most advantageous places on the day. On site tuition and guidance invaluable as always. All of this delivered in pleasant, convivial, and an enjoyable atmosphere.

For wildlife, I have previously shot mostly in Africa, and normally shoot mostly amateur sport and landscape, so learning to use some of the functionality of my kit that I don't commonly use was fascinating, as was experiencing the amazing Scottish wildlife. Neil and Peter were great at explaining what we would see, how we would need to shoot it, and then getting us there to see it. Super worthwhile.

It was an excellent experience. Neil and Peter who run the course, genuinely want each attendee to succeed in fulfilling their course goals. To this end, with good humour, they offer photographic guidance, resolve minor technical issues and have available additional cameras, lenses and accessories. They also locate photogenic white tailed eagles, red deer, feral goats, otters and pine martens besides hen harriers and great northern divers. This participant's goals were heartily fulfilled.
