This is a fantastic opportunity to photograph the less common red squirrel, everything about the day was brilliant, the venue, weather, Ricci who was standing in for Neil, was nice to finally meet him was very helpful if you required any help or tips, loan of several lenses Ricci had with him (loved the 85mm f1.2) also not forgetting the stars of the show, the red squirrels, I took so many great shots it has been so hard to try and edit the good from the bad. All in all a fantastic day.

Superb venue with lots of opportuntiy to get close to and photograph the deer. The weather was very poor, raining most of the time, which is something none of us can control, but on the plus side it was possible to get some realy atmospheric shots. Finished slight early due to the conditions but were able to make good use of the time with advice and questions and answers from Neil.

Superb evening which flew by. Very well organised on the night - good briefing and help during the shoot.
Thanks to Nikon staff and the Reenactors too

There was a lot of red squirrel activity and great opportunities to see the little guys, there is also a lot of bird activity too. Definitely would recommend it, and was great to try out other lenses too.

The event itself was extremely well organised and the location of the photography experience Was simply breathtaking. Red squirrels were in abundance and expert advice was always on hand. The reflection pool hide was an amazing experience, with red squirrels literally walking in front of the lens.
I had an amazing experience, took hundreds of photographs, and would highly recommend this day to anyone interested in either red squirrel photography or just improving wildlife photography in general.

Very informative course

This was my fourth Nikon School online course (in 2020 & 2022) and the experience was similar. Presentation was clear; questions were answered promptly; everything moved along steadily but was not rushed. I am not a complete beginner with Speedlights but had much to learn and this course met expectations. Course information pointed out that my SB-800 units would not be specifically covered but in practice this was not a great drawback as most of the content was about principles and practice.

I found this to be a thoroughly worthwhile course that covered all the basics about using flash and is ideal for anyone who doesn't use flash very often. As usual, Ricci went at a steady pace and gave clear descriptions of all the topics covered, also answering lots of questions from the attendees.

What a fantastic day it turned out to be! After a brief stroll down into the valley, Neil quickly positioned us, ensuring we were prepared for a variety of unique shots across the three different bases on the site. I must admit, these experience days are becoming quite addictive. I'm eagerly anticipating May 2024 and the Bempton Cliffs Experience Day.
