I benefitted greatly from attending this course. It did not matter what kit you had- mine was a D5200 .
I learnt a lot from this course never having used a manual setting before or made proper use of my remote control.
Neil and Ricci are extremely knowledgeable and with their help I got some great shots! I now have a better understanding of composition
I also learnt about the best settings to use, which lenses to use, the use of filters and tripod height.

Great content, great trainer, great models (2 couples), great location and I left with some quality images and lot's of information to use!

This was absolutely amazing. It was set in a phenomenal location with loads of opportunities to get some fantastic images of the model bride and groom. Neil was very helpful as ever and able to give advice on compositional ideas and approaches and was able to answer all questions in easy to understand terminology. I was also able to try different lenses to get different perspectives. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and would recommend this course, with all the other Nikon school courses.

It was a beautiful day with great models. An important day of learning new ideas in shooting weddings. A new location was fantastic as well as it provided additional ideas. Also learned a tremendous amount of information on the technical aspects of shooting a wedding.

A small group of 10 and 2 very experienced and professional experts on hand to guide us through the mechanics of landscape photography. I like the easy going style of Neil and Ricci, always on hand to help and advise. They make their advice simple and easy to understand and then help us in putting it into practice. I learnt new things from the moment we started until the end. First time with filters and keen to explore more now.

Neil did a great job in adapting to the horrible weather conditions on the day, and delivering a very informative practical workshop, while dodging the rain and winds.
Their was plenty of time to ask questions, and try some kit out, and to see what can be achieved in a relatively small space.
I would thoroughly recommend a Nikon workshop to other photographers, regardless of skill levels, as all were catered for on the day.
Thanks Neil for your time.
Regards
Andy

Quickly revisited some of the part 1 course and reaffirmed best practises when it comes to working with ISO, aperture and shutter speeds. Not as many opportunities for practical exercises this time, but lots of room for discussions and helpful Q&A sessions with Neil and the rest of the group. Really enjoyed learning about image composition and finding out what camera settings, lenses & equipment are best for specific photography interests e.g. portrait, wildlife, landscape photography etc.

This was an excellent extension of Day 1 of the Getting Started with DSLR course. There was a little bit of going over the basics we learnt on Day 1 but went into more detail on how to visualise and construct a good photo, rather than what the different functions of the camera can do.
Looking at three styles of photography (portraiture, landscape and action) and going into detail of how to get a good shot, what modes/tricks to use was also very helpful.

I joined the day not quite knowing what to expect. I was concerned that with lack of flash experience I would struggle. But i need not have worried as Ricci explained the principals we were going to use throughout the day so clearly even I could grasp the concepts. By lunch time all the group seemed to have got the basics and were immersed in the experience. The course was well structured and everyone got plenty of time to experiment. Now looking forward to part two.

This was my first experience of Noir and, let’s be honest, the first time I had really thought about the control that flash photography can give you. Ricci started fast and I thought I may fail to keep up - but the systematic approach he drilled into us worked well. We got to experiment and also see how he as a pro prepares a scene. The outcomes in terms of images at this introductory level were beyond those that I thought possible from a one day course. Highly recommend this course
