Day 1 of three back-to-back workshops. Having been on several workshops, I am proficient in the technology, but never fail to benefit from knowledge and expertise of the tutors. It is their knowledge of the Lake District, together with their excellent guidance on shot composition at each location which offers greatest value for me. Locations were well chosen, but if anything, maybe a little far apart to maximise time, though in poorer weather, this may have been a bonus. Happy with great shots.

This was the third time I've attended the dog photography days at the Kennel Club so that speaks for itself. We got fantastic weather and could shoot outdoors all day. My main reason for attending now was to build my portfolio and I am very happy with what I got - lots of great pics of wonderful dogs and some really special shots. Neil is an excellent trainer, with a deep knowledge of photography (dogs and lots more) and of Nikon equipment. Will I return for more? Definitely

The event was very well organised and coordinated especially with the cliche of “never work with animals”. Neil explained, for each dog breed how the session would flow as well as reasoning for positionings for the photographers to get the optimum images and things to avoid ie backgrounds.

This was a really fun and interesting day, with lots of different dog breeds to photograph, lenses to try out and the instructor Neil was really knowledgeable and helpful. I really liked how the information was so camera specific, being a Nikon run class, and the advise about composition, and techniques for panning and tracking the dogs were very useful. I'm really pleased with some of the photos I came away with.
