Had lot of chances to take the birds flying.despite rain in the afternoon. Neil and Ricci were available for questions and advice all through the day which was very helpful. I had a chance to try the D850 and the 200-500 telephoto which helped my decision making for buying equipment .

Though the afternoon was wet, with some quite torrential rain, this didn't affect things too badly, as the plans were amended "on the hoof". We were fortunate that the rain held off for as long as it did! The Nikon guys did a great job at keeping things flowing, and assisting with any technical queries, as well as offering some great guidance. Overall I was very pleased, and shall return on another Nikon day.

A very warm welcome and introduction to the day. Presenters were vey knowledgable and covered many issues to help us get the best out of our cameras and from the day.
The programme was well planned and presented us with opportunities to use our newly acquired insights with the birds presented by the falconers.

RICCI IS A VERY COMPETENT LEADER IN TERMS OF HIS ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS, HIS KNOWLEDGE AND HIS FRIENDLINESS WHICH LAYS THE FOUNDATION FOR A VERY POSITIVE AND REWARDING DAY OF PHOTORAPHY. THE FACILITIES AT THE HAWK CONSERVANCY WERE VERY IMPRESSIVE AND THEY WERE EXCELLENT HOSTS WITH HELPFUL STAFF WHO IN THE AFTERNOON MANAGED THE INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS VERY WELL.

Really enjoyable and well planned day. Falconers very interesting to talk to and helpful, as were the trainer's.

The location and facilities were excellent and easy to get to.
This course was great if you want to experience or practice capturing birds in flight from large and slow to small and fast.
You can get close enough for a 70-200 or 300mm lens to be long enough.

This was an amazing location to shoot seascapes and with Neil Freeman to hand to provide guidance on camera settings and composition, everyone who attended was given the confidence to capture some stunning photographs.

The course was brilliant. I learnt a lot from the course and because of the small size of the course it also gave a chance for some one on one time meaning i got the most i could out of the course. Neil was a great tutor as well being very clear in his explanations. 10/10 I would recommend to any photographer and I am definitely going to plan on doing another in the future.

This was my second course with both Neil & Ricci beginning with Getting Started with Landscape Photography, a great foundation for the course I've just attended "Lake District Lakes & Waterfalls".
An utterly brilliant day even without the waterfalls, With an incredible surprise beyond expectations!
Neil & Ricci are super patient & explain in a concise & straightforward way making it easy to follow their advice. Both giving enough info to allow individuals to develop & experiment.

Day 3 of three back-to-back workshops. Having been on several workshops I am mainly looking for locations and composition advice. This is where the tutors add greatest value. With disappointingly low flow over the intended waterfall locations, the tutors' experience and knwoledge of the area came to the rescue - replanning the tour and still creating opportunity for fabulous shots. Good to learn how to adapt locations to conditions on the day. Well done guys.
