I had a fantastic day with Neil on this one day course. The course played out in a relaxed format that allowed space for creativity and most of all lots of learning. Neil's knowledge of Nikon cameras is second to none clearly enhancing the experience by those attending. Neil's knowledge of the local landscape and geographical features was the icing on the cake to a superb experience.

After such a great experience at the Red Squirrel day the week before, I was so excited to join another experience, this time at the British Wildlife Centre. I was amazed that we got to go into the enclosures with most animals and be right up close with them, meaning the photo opportunities were incredible. I borrowed a lens from Neil and got to practice getting photos I've never had the chance to capture before, especially with such a variety of animals.

This was my first time joining a Nikon School course as a (very) amateur photographer and I had the most amazing time. With Neil's guidance, I managed to get some great photos that I'm really proud of and I was inspired to join another Nikon School course the following week! The very foggy weather threatened to put a damper on the day, but Neil challenged us to use the conditions to obtain atmospheric shots. Not only did he coach us on camera settings, he also provided invaluable advice on composition and the type of shots to take advantage of the conditions. Neil's knowledge of the park, the location and behaviour of the deer was invaluable. In assisting us frame more artistically, he took the shots in different locations, showed them to us, and then challenged us to aim for the same outcome. This was most valuable. Turned out to be a truly excellent session.

The expert instruction provided by Neil Freeman made all the difference. Guidance on camera settings, choice of lenses, the type of focus for the different types of shot, and examples of the types of shot to aim for, as well as pointers on anticipating the behaviour of the Squirrels transformed the session into a most rewarding one. Neil also checked on each of us continually, ensuring that we were achieving the results desired. This was most welcome and appreciated.
