I joined the course as this was a new area for me and I came out of it thinking about creating abstract stills and motion. The course set up was simplicity - I am glad I did not "try it at home" during the two hours as I would have made a mess and missed things. The simple things often work best, and Neil's demonstration showed how easy it is to be a creative. Ricci gave good support whilst Neil crawled around and overall it was an entertaining and informative session.

A couple of hours informative input flew by. Obviously very experienced and knowledgeable presenters.
Some really good tips and ideas for better pics.

For me, it was excellent revision. However, I still picked up some interesting ideas and useful tips. It was well worth my time.

Having been to two other similar events, there was inevitably a bit of overlap. However, although there was a welcome consistency in the information given, there were subtle differences which really enhanced the experience. Seeing the same images from a slightly different critical perspective was extremely useful.
Neil & Ricci's different presentation styles complement one another very well.

Nice to see how a simple set-up can produce some interesting images and keep you happy for hours playing.

Whilst there was some overlap with other courses that included some coastlines it was nice for the reinforcement.

I worked along as Neil was demonstrating the technique and obtained some very interesting images. Particularly useful was suggestions for editing the images in processing software.

Easy to follow with clear explanations and delivered by somebody who knows the product backwards!

David is a very relaxed presenter and has an easy style which lends itself to a gentle introduction to Capture One. I'd already bought the product and was finding it tricky to find my around it but after this introduction things were much clearer. Also, the demonstration on layers was a huge selling point for me. It would be good if the sessions could be recorded, though.
