COURSE: Virtual Landscape Tour: Snowdonia

The first part was very useful explaining the equipment Neil and Ricci normaly use ... then the deescription of the images highlighted relevant aspects of settings and location. Excellent as usual.

VIRTUAL LANDSCAPE TOUR: YORKSHIRE DALES

RATING: 5 of 5
DATE: JUNE 2020

COURSE: Virtual Landscape Tour: Yorkshire Dales

The class was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the tips on locations for waterfalls and time of year to visit them.
It conveyed really knowledge of the areas, and the photos were inspiring.
Information on camera equipment (incl filters) was very useful, but more than that, advice on appropriate clothing and to keep warm and dry is really appreciated - we all too often forget the need to prepare the night before and, as a result, spoil our enjoyment of the outdoors - which is the point!

How to take better pictures

RATING: 5 of 5
DATE: JUNE 2020

COURSE: How to: Bird & Wildlife Photography

The 2 hours went by very quickly with lots of useful and interesting advice on how to take better pictures with Nikon kit. Using his own images to lead the course I found it very useful and made lots of notes for future reference.
I found it particularly useful to have all the settings for the images so I could see the impact changes to the settings made. I have been concerned about using very high ISO but now will be bolder.

COURSE: How to: Astrophotography

The presenters and their images and techniques were a great way to introduce potential astrophotographers to this unique and challenging form of photography. The session was easy going with lots of help and tips via the chat function on Zoom. It's given me the impetus to go out and give it a try - again.

COURSE: One To One Online Tuition

My one-to-one course with Ricci was really helpful in helping me to understand more about my D7500. Ricci talked through all the areas that I wasn't confident with. He was clear concise and very patient. He and Neil together with the online Nikon school only goes to re-enforce my reason why I chose Nikon as my preferred equipment. Thanks guys.

Won in two ways

COURSE: Virtual Landscape Tour: Greenland

I enjoyed the course for what it did and did not do. It did not try to sell the tour by showing photos of happy, if cold, photographers shooting, drinking, eating or in saunas! It was very useful in showing what you can actually see in Greenland, how to approach the subjects, hardware to use and what settings Joe actually employed. It was an inclusive chat rather than lecture and as such succeeded very well. I specifically took not of his infinity shooting comments. very illuminating!
