Hello,
It was a very interesting session, at the beginning of the session there was a lot of talking about technical recommendations, it would have been great to show a couple of slides as it was quite difficult to follow.
Many thanks,
Anna

This was the first course that I have participated in via zoom, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I warmed to Neil straight away, in fact, I felt like I was in the same room as him! There were one of two technical issues (camera not connected, no sound etc), but it didn't really affect the overall content and I think it helped that Neil had Liz to support him, who could raise the issues as and when they arose. As a beginner to macro photography I felt the course was pitched 'just right'.

I love the Dales and it was great to revisit places I know, but with the skills guidance of the Nikon School. I will return and hopefully with better camera skills as a result of the course

Another thoroughly interesting and stimulating course covering several key photographic locations. The presenters showed several of their images from each location discussing the benefits of each location, their thought process, kit taken and used along with the filters used to create the images. Both presenters had different shooting styles so you had two ‘bites of the cherry’ for each image.
Thoroughly enjoyable and educational session, I feel I learnt a lot.

At an earlier introduction course last year, Neil briefly introduced the concept of photo editing. I was keen to learn more and thought the course would be a good introduction. I had looked at some software but flying a jumbo jet looked less complex! Neil’s introduction to the software, not to mention the amazing changes to the photos themselves, has given me the courage to give it a go! Well done.

I had the most amazing day and learnt so much. Neil is incredibly talented and very patient and his enthusiasm in wanting to teach is infectious. Neil’s knowledge of the area was brilliant enabling us to avoid some of the crowds, given it was a beautiful day and challenges of social distancing. This was a trip well worth it if you want to improve and enjoy your photography and I really liked the smaller group environment as this allowed almost 1 on 1 training. Thank you for a great day!

I always thought those pro shots you see on Instagram were well out of my league, well they may still be but after attending this course I have more confidence in trying to reach their standards. I learned how its all about preparation, not just the equipment but also the location, time of day and conditions, plus patience to gain a chance at getting that perfect shot. It may take me some time to reach towards this level but this talk has certainly helped me aspire to those goals.

Really enjoyed the presentation by Neil & Ricci.
They showed some excellent images and the shared information on how they captured them. Which was nice!
The best bit; the combination of their enthusiasm and great pictures made me forget for a while I was stuck at home (and inspired me to get out to the Lakes ASAP).

A really useful guide to the Lake District and what to expect on the 2021 course. Also technically at the right level for me.
