Very good presentation and responsive coverage

RATING: 4.6 of 5
DATE: OCTOBER 2020

COURSE: Mastering the Z 5, Z 6 & Z 7 Part 1

Covered everything in the course description. The presenters were most obviously knowledgeable and covered information very well. Excellent responsiveness to questions from attendees. This convinced me to attend further Nikon School online events.

An excellent day at the Wildlife Centre

RATING: 5 of 5
DATE: SEPTEMBER 2020

COURSE: Experience Day: Wildlife - British Wildlife

Due to the current social distancing measures we were split into two groups which gave us plenty of room to move around to choose various locations. Ricci gave an introduction with great advice on settings and what to look for. He was tireless splitting his time between the two groups to ensure everyone was well looked after. During the lunch break Ricci was happy to answer any general questions which again was so helpful.

COURSE: Experience Day: Wildlife - British Wildlife

Very interesting day with plenty of opportunity to get shots of the animals. The keepers were very keen to talk about their charges and helpful in suggesting and arranging poses for shots. Was good to be able to borrow some lenses during the day.

British Wildlife in closeup with Nikon

RATING: 4.2 of 5
DATE: SEPTEMBER 2020

COURSE: Experience Day: Wildlife - British Wildlife

This is a day at the British Wildlife Centre with Nikon experts who are on hand to provide advice on the best settings for wildlife photography tailored to your model of camera. You get to go inside the enclosures with the Keepers giving good vantage points and enabling you to get close to the subject for taking photographs. The range of animals is superb, all UK carnivore species are present e.g. fox, Scottish wildcat, weasel and many others including otters and my favourite the red squirrels.

Capture one

RATING: 5 of 5
DATE: SEPTEMBER 2020

COURSE: Digital Darkroom: Introduction to Capture One Pro

I had seen Capture one being demonstrated at the Photographic show (2020), impressed they had a Nikon specific module. I was looking on the Nikon school after watching Neil Freeman on the Nikon stage present his landscape talk where he talked about using Capture one. I had a trial version of Capture one downloaded and after 12 hours upgraded to annual subscription. The course at the Nikon school was 2 days later and helped my development in using this Nikon based module.

Excellent course covering every area needed

RATING: 5 of 5
DATE: SEPTEMBER 2020

COURSE: Getting Started with the D7500

Neil came across as a very professional trainer on this course, providing a detailed, yet easy to follow guide to all the areas it covered. He answered any questions thoroughly and provided more than enough information to allow me to take the photography skills I already have on to the next level.

Focussing on British Wildlife

RATING: 4 of 5
DATE: SEPTEMBER 2020

COURSE: Experience Day: Wildlife - British Wildlife

Had a fantastic day (despite the rain) getting up close and personal with the animals at the British Wildlife Centre. The keepers were knowledgeable and helpful, and Ricci was very attentive to the varying needs of the members of the group. I learnt some new techniques and got some fantastic shots!

Excellent Course

RATING: 5 of 5
DATE: SEPTEMBER 2020

COURSE: How to: Landscapes

The course was taught by two people who new the subject well. It included great tips on gear, technique, planning and positioning of subjects. I have since adapted my system to include all of those taught and whilst not at the level of the instructors there is a marked improvement in my photos. Highly recommended.

Excellent course ....

RATING: 5 of 5
DATE: SEPTEMBER 2020

COURSE: How to: Landscapes

Another well presented course full of useful information and techniques for landscapes. Ricci and Neil kept it all flowing and the three hours seemed to fly past. What have I taken away from this? "Shoot for yourself" comment made by Neil, probably just as a throwaway, but so true. Thanks again.

Very informative and entertaining

RATING: 5 of 5
DATE: SEPTEMBER 2020

COURSE: How to: Landscapes

The presentation met all my expectations and then even more. The trainer's gave overview of gear, techniques, approach and thinking, some inspiring examples and a short demo of post-processing. Seeing a difference between camera files and the final product is eye opening.
