This was my first photography course and I was a little apprehensive as to what to expect. However I found the course to be conducted in an relaxed, interesting and professional manner. It has left me with confidence to take control of the other camera settings - without just relying on the auto button ‘point & shoot’ approach, which I had previously adopted. I would certainly consider taking additional courses to further increase my photography knowledge, based on my first experience with Nikon

An excellent course given by Neil Freeman who clearly knows the subject of Nikon cameras and is able to depart his considerable knowledge of photography at the same time. It was a packed and intense 3 hour session that was both informative and instructional at the same time. In fact we had run the course well over its allotted time such is Neil’s enthusiasm for the subject. Overall an excellent course and I recommend it to everyone who owns a Nikon DSLR camera.

As with previous Nikon School courses Neil gave us plenty of information in a relevant and usable way. He took us through those areas of camera usage which were beyond the simple point and shoot. Careful explanation to enable us to find our way around the menus and to set up the camera as best suited our needs. The encouragement and explanation of easier access settings was especially valuable.
The on-line nature of the course worked very well and the chat feature provided good interaction.

The course was very informative bearing in mind that it was carried by Zoom. Neil clearly knows his subject very well and was able to impart his knowledge to me in a comfortable manner. It is unfortunate that due to the current restrictions we are not able to physically meet as having attented a D300 training session many years ago I do prefer them to be "face to face" but I gained a lot of valuable information and will join a Part 2 session in the future.

A very well presented session giving a detailed in-depth view of the Z series of cameras and specifically how they can be adapted to met
your own style of photography. There was no shortage of opportunity to ask questions and a very concise but easily absorbed response from Neil
who obviously had enthusiasm for the new series of cameras. My first Nikon event but certainly not my last - I have already booked a course in the New Year on Capture One.

This course was brilliant, Neil explained loads of stuff that you can do with the Nikon Z6 that I didn't even know about. He took us through the menu of the Z6 and recommended some settings that should be changed.
The course was run at a good pace, which also enabled me to make some notes.
What I also liked was you were able to ask questions if you didn't understand something.
Neil has a real passion for cameras and teaching.
I highly recommend this course if you're new to the Z6 or Z7.

Booking and accessing the course was easy. The trainer (Neil) was careful to assess and respond to the needs of the group and created a positive learning environment. His delivery was well-paced, illustrated with useful case studies and the content was clear. As a complete beginner when it comes to lighting, flash and portraits, I found the course made everything feel less intimidating and confusing. I had taken the How to: Portraits course recently and the two worked very well together.

An inclusive, great value and instructive three hour session on getting the best results from one’s photography and equipment. Full of helpful content highlighting some techniques you may already know, introducing others, to improve your knowledge and understanding - and the best use of filters.
Highly recommended as a confidence boosting course for anyone interested in improving their landscape photography.
