COURSE: Getting Started with the D3500 & D5600

I saw the advert for this course on Face Book so was a bit wary at first, after a bit of research I saw it was actually run by Nikon so I signed up and I'm so pleased I did. Ricci took us through everything step by step in a way it was easy for me to understand and I practicing coming off Auto for the first time in years, Thank you so much I will definitely be looking for more courses when I am confident in shooting in AP & SP modes, highly recommended to anyone who is thinking of signing up

Excellent kickstart to using my new camera. Recommend the course to anyone like me who is new to photography. Works well as a remote online course and the instructor Ricci encouraged participation and answered all our questions. Once I have more experience I'll definitely be looking at another course.

Great intro to Lightroom

RATING: 5 of 5
DATE: MARCH 2021

COURSE: Digital Darkroom: Introduction to Lightroom Classic

As a new Lightroom user I found the course very helpful both in finding my way around the software - so many functions and options of Lightroom seem dauntingly inaccessible to the newcomer - and in actually using it. Rather than just passively look and listen, I followed the course on a laptop but had Lightroom open on the desktop and I was able to replicate what Neil and Ricci were demonstrating..

Image composition

RATING: 5 of 5
DATE: MARCH 2021

COURSE: How to: Image Composition

Neil and Ricci gave a comprehensive explanation of the best camera settings and techniques to achieve the best results for the different styles of composition. They went over the rules of composition and the reasons for these depending on what the photographer seeks to achieve.

Nikon training is good for you

RATING: 5 of 5
DATE: MARCH 2021

COURSE: How to: Image Composition

Image composition is such an illusive concept and so subjective. I think, even if you are technically proficient, the skill of spotting a composition is either a gift or something that has taken a lot of work. I fall into the latter, so the more help I can get, the more I am able to think about what I am doing. Photography for me, is a combination of pleasure and torture and I never know where on that spectrum each venture will be? The course has given me lots of things to consider.
