This was an excellent photography course organised by Nikon School. There were five students on the course and after meeting we headed off to a cafe to say what we hoped to get from the day. Lucy recommend appropriate camera settings and then spoke about the psychology of photographing personal moments in people’s lives. We then wondered around Covent Garden and Soho with Lucy suggesting photo opportunities and really interesting camera angles. A very chilled but highly informative course.

What a day! It is never easy to take pictures on random strangers on the street , I have been there but after the initial hesitation under Lucy's guidance and constant encouragement I found the challenge not so challenging. This is probably just the beginning for me in street photography and I wish to continue with this adventure of capturing human emotions in future too.

The trainer provided an excellent insight into the different categories of Nikkor Lenses, but in particular explained how different lenses with regard to focal length could help achieve very different results. The differences using tele lenses for compression and composition with landscapes was juxtaposed with that achieved by wide angles. The strengths of some of the newer and faster primes were also pitched against slightly slower but sharper 'S' lenses regarding style and and artistic feel.

I have bought and used many lenses over the years, but I am now spending more time on my photography, so this course looked interesting. It did exactly what I wished. It gave the group an overview on the use of focal lengths and lenses, with extra bespoke detail provided in response to attendee questions and queries. It should help me get the best from my existing equipment, and select the most appropriate additional lenses to assist my photography.

Lucy Hamidzadeh was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide to a type of photography most of us were quite unfamiliar with. At the start we had a good discussion about the "hunting and fishing" approaches and ways to overcome natural nervousness about photographing people in the street. We went to Covent Garden and China Town which were both rich in good subjects. Good fun and I now have the confidence to experiment further on my own. Recommended

Lucy passed on many tips and tricks about how to get interesting images, making the session educational and very inspiring. Lucy has an infectious enthusiasm that helps you challenge your fears and push beyond your normal boundaries when photographing strangers. A very worthwhile session.

Ricci was very knowledgeable and the course was structured very logically
REVIEWER: Paul T.
Excellent course. Ricci explains everything so clearly and makes it very interesting. As lightroom has become more complex I wonder if it would be possible to do a second course with more detail of the new features?
REVIEWER: Stephanie S.
I very much enjoyed the course, despite the cold and rain we were able to take some beautiful pictures under the expert guidance of our trainers. Everything was explained upfront, we went to a few locations, we each got some individual help and feedback and the trainers were able to help even with some questions related to our own camera models, they know them all inside out!
