I've had my Z8 for eight months (since launch day, in fact). It's the best camera I've had in over forty years of this hobby, but I'm still getting to grips with the complexity, and some things I've known all that time were just not getting the results I expected. Ricci's customary clear explanations have made some things fall into place. I've altered a few settings and will change some practices. I can't wait to try them out - and I also can't wait for Part 2 of the course.

As a relatively experienced amateur photographer I wanted some guidance making the transition from my D500 to my new Z8. The course was very thorough and packed with useful information which was well presented. Not only that, I picked up several wider points that I hadn’t fully appreciated, such as diffraction and the fact that a higher pixel count can cause more problems with motion blur. Being new to mirrorless and having just got the Z8, I found this course really useful. Ricci was very informative, and explained things really well. He took the time to deal with a multitude of questions and even stayed over the allocated time to deal with some queries. Even as former D850 owner I was blown away with some of the features of the Z8, and thanks to Ricci I feel more confident in using the camera. I enjoyed it so much I have signed up for Pt2 and the Autofocus class.

I have owned the Z9 since Feb 21 and completed the Part 1 & 2 course within a couple of months. Now nearly 2 years on I found this course an invaluable recap not just due to the latest firmware which added functionality but also serving as a prompt / reminder now that I have greater knowledge and experience of the camera. Ricci is a superb tutor and takes you through even the most complex subjects with patience and clarity.

The course was a great introductory to Photography for a beginner like me. Ricci was a great tutor, he answered all the questions and in a way that made the exposure triangle a lot easier to understand. Also for me I was able to do this short course from NZ, instead of having to travel to another city in NZ to do a full day course at a lot more expense.
