Join us to photograph the 1000's of seabirds at RSPB Bempton Cliffs. We will show you the best settings and camera techniques to produce great images of wild birds both in flight and nesting. This is a great opportunity for photographers of all levels to learn wildlife photography on location under the guidance of an expert photographers.
Bempton Cliffs offers a unique experience in that the birds will often be flying below or parallel with you given the height of the sea cliffs, which makes for some amazing images. Bird species might include Gannets, Puffins, Guillemots, Fulmars and Razorbills to name a few, but this is entirely dependent on the time of year and weather.
We will be exploring the reserve for the best light conditions on the day, so be prepared for a little bit of walking to ensure you can get good images.
Notes:
Parking and entrance to Bempton Cliffs for RSPB members is free, for non members it is currently around £6
We will stop for lunch at the onsite cafe, but feel free to bring a packed lunch and snacks if you want
Focal lengths of 400, 500 and 600mm are recommended as well as Binoculars for spotting the birds. In some instances a 70-200mm can be used as well
