Join Lucy Hamidzadeh, a Nikon Creator for this exclusive street photography workshop in London. This workshop is for photographers of all levels and will show you how to see and shoot great street photography images. With street photography, there’s no agenda, it’s a raw portrayal of the way people live and with the least amount of acting. You see things by practice. It’s like playing a sport, you get better the more you play. Street photography is just that; the more you look around at things, the more you realise what can be photographed. You will learn how to put buildings and people into perspective and be inspired and try new techniques and shooting styles as well as creative challenges.
No matter what your interest or skill level in photography there is something for everyone to learn on this street photography workshop. This is a great opportunity to shoot street photography images with Lucy Hamidzadeh. Lucy will help you understand the skills and aesthetics of street photography while encouraging you to use natural light to best effect.
Lucy will show you how she likes to disappear into someone else’s story just for a moment and how to open your eyes and ears to the smells and sounds of a place to discover a whole new world with opportunities for great images. Street photography is not just about capturing a pretty picture and Lucy will discuss with you how to make something unique when you pick up a camera, making connections with a moment and how every image you capture is the result of something that happens to catch your eye in such an overwhelming way that it becomes impossible to simply ignore.
We will begin by meeting at Gallery@oxo, before we head out to explore the photographic opportunities along the Southbank.
You will be learning in a small group of 8 people, and with our relaxed and informative approach to photography workshops, this is a great way for you to develop your street photography skills. Lucy will give you hints, tips and technique advice on street photography and also cover how the correct camera settings to make the most of the locations we are working in.
Each attendee will also receive a goody bag upon arrival.

Instructor Profile:
This workshop will be led by a Nikon Creator Lucy Hamidzadeh. Lucy is a moment collector and a reader of people who is constantly observing the world around her, whether that is in her hometown, or when she is travelling to a new place. Forever curious, she is always wondering what the people she captures with her camera are experiencing, what emotions they are going through and the cultures they inhabit. The photos Lucy captures will always remain a mystery to her and anyone who views her work - and that’s the beauty of it. She wants for people to go beyond their senses, evoke emotion and inspire imagination, so that they too see the beauty and feel compelled to capture the moment, and to frame memories into visual existence. https://www.lucyhamidzadeh.com/
