This Nikon School experience day is a unique opportunity for you to photograph the world's top golfers in action on the practice day at The Open. As a long standing Patron of The Open, Nikon is privileged to have VIP 'inside the ropes' access to run this exclusive workshop. Following the world's top golfers around Royal Portrush Golf Club on the Dunluce Course, we will be showing you how to photograph the golfers on the tees, fairways and greens. Neil Freeman from Nikon School will be on hand throughout the day to help you with your camera settings and tips and techniques to ensure you get great images from this exclusive opportunity.
On this workshop, we have unique VIP 'inside the ropes' access to photograph the world's top golfers in action on the practice day at The Open. With this unparalleled access you should achieve some great images of the players in action as they navigate the Dunluce course at Royal Portrush.
With a maximum of 3 delegates and, with your Nikon School expert on hand at all times to help with any camera questions, tips or techniques, this is a unique opportunity to photograph professional golfers as we have full access to the course, fairways and greens. Our exclusive 'inside the ropes' access means we can photograph from vantage points normally only available to accredited media photographers. This is your chance to be a 'Pro' golf photographer for the day.
Throughout the day, we can either follow specific golfers around the course as they undertake their practice rounds or set ourselves at a great vantage point to photograph the action at a specific hole. The format for the day is flexible and is of course weather dependent. We will break for lunch and refreshments as we make our way around the course.
If the weather does go against us, we can take shelter in one of the many restaurants where Neil can host camera Q&A's or image editing sessions. As soon as the weather has cleared we can then venture back out onto the course. If there is golf being played, we will give you the option to photograph it.

It was exciting to be up close to the World's best golfers and to get into positions for great action shots. Neil steered up through the course to get to the most advantageous areas where we could switch easily between holes. Nine hours of following the golf across undulating fairways in typically Scottish coastal weather was challenging, but I'd go again next year!
