Course Contents

Depending on the light and weather, this session will take place at either Jokulsarlon or at the stunning mountains at Vestrahorn, both are amazing locations to photograph.

Live Remote Shooting with Nikon School allows you to interact and learn photography by either by watching from the photographer’s point of view as the scene is composed and the camera setup in real-time, or by actively taking part in changing the camera settings and composition from the comfort of your home.

Your session lasts for around 20 mins and we will endeavour to get a many shots setup for you in that time depending on the light and weather

Once you have booked your session, we will send you a Zoom link for the shoot, so you can log in from home, while Nikon School experts go out on location. We will then setup and via the zoom link, give you control of the camera where you can shoot a variety of images remotely while under the expert guidance of your Nikon School tutor. The RAW images that you shoot will then be sent across to you within 48 - 72hrs

You have the opportunity to change the composition, angle of view and the camera & lenses used (subject to camera and lens availability). Live remote shooting also gives you chance to test out the latest cameras, lenses and creative ideas without having to travel or put up with the challenges caused by the weather, we do the travelling for you.

In the event of adverse weather or situations beyond our control which means we have to postpone your live remote shooting session, we will either reschedule a new session for you as soon as possible or provide a refund

Iceland from the warmth of home

This was a different photographic experience from the usual as I was sitting at home watching a screen of the view through the lens of Neil's camera which was located on the beach of Jokulsarlon in Iceland. Neil set up the composition and focus, while I was able to control the shutter speed to capture the image with guidance from Ricci. In the time available I was also able to try out the 100-400 lens. The only drawback is I now have to visit Iceland to see the locations in person!
