Experience Day: Landscapes - The Best of North Devon

Overview

Join us for a full day exploring and photographing the coastline and landscape around North Devon. This workshop is limited to a maximum of 6 delegates, allowing us more time to teach you the techniques needed to take great landscape images. North Devon provides an amazing backdrop with waterfalls, lone trees, rugged coastlines, rock formations and bays, and if we are lucky, maybe some wildlife. Being in a small group also means we can access locations unavailable to large groups to enable you to practice your newly learned skills

Course Contents

No matter what your interest or level in photography there is something for everyone to photograph in North Devon. This is a great opportunity to explore in a small group and learn how to shoot great landscape images with Nikon School. We will guide you through the correct camera settings to make the most of the beautiful surroundings; covering techniques such as long exposures, using filters, image composition and focusing techniques to ensure you get pin sharp images. We will be starting the day around Mortehoe (see full address at the bottom of this page) and then exploring further depending on the light and weather conditions.

Fitness: Most of the locations involve relatively short walks, but some of the locations will require a walk along uneven tracks and up uneven paths. Because of this, a moderate to high level of fitness will be required on this course.

Depending on the weather and light we aim to visit several locations that have been specifically chosen for spectacular photography. Please note that in the event of severe weather the locations may have to be altered at the last minute. If you would like to borrow any cameras or lenses for this course please get in contact with us at [email protected] with your request and we will do our best to bring it along. We require at least two weeks notice for any requests.

Please note that you will have to pay for parking at Morthoe and some of the locations

We will endeavour to stop at a local cafe or restaurant for lunch, however feel free to bring a packed lunch and drinks with you if you want
