Join us for a full day of exploring and photographing some of the amazing Waterfalls the Yorkshire Dales has to offer. This VIP experience is limited to four delegates per group, allowing us more time to teach you the techniques needed to take great waterfall images. The Yorkshire Dales have over 30 amazing waterfalls and during this course we will be visiting some of the famous waterfalls as well as the lesser known ones. The maximum group size of our VIP experience means we can access locations inaccessible to large groups whilst shooting much quicker, allowing more locations to be visited to practice your newly learned skills.
No matter what your interest or level in photography, there is something for everyone to photograph during this VIP workshop. This is a great opportunity to explore in a small group and learn how to shoot great waterfall images. We will guide you through the correct camera settings to make the most of the beautiful surroundings, covering techniques such as; long exposures, using filters, image composition as well as focusing techniques to ensure you get pin sharp images. The day will primarily be spent exploring the waterfalls across Wensleydale (see full address at the bottom of this page), however, we may travel further depending on the light and weather conditions.
Fitness: Most of the locations involve relatively short walks, but some of the locations will require a walk along uneven tracks and up uneven paths. Because of this, a moderate to high level of fitness will be required on this course.
Depending on the weather and light, we aim to visit several locations that have been specifically chosen for spectacular photography.
Please note that in the event of severe weather the locations may have to be altered at the last minute.
If you would like to borrow any cameras or lenses for this course, please get in contact with us at [email protected] and we will do our best to bring it along. We require at least one weeks notice for any requests.
Please note that you will have to pay for parking at some of the locations, most of the parking will be in National Trust car parks. We will endeavor to stop at a local cafe or restaurant for lunch, however, please bring a packed lunch and drink with you if this is preferred.
We visited a good number of waterfalls and as usual there were some great tips from Neil re compositions for these tricky subjects. His knowledge is so extensive which is why these workshops are so good no matter what your level of expertise. I don't consider myself a novice but I always come away with little gems of information filed away for the future.
Once you have completed the course on location, or the training online, use your online portal access to upload your photos, share them with others on the course in the gallery area, compare ideas and results, plus get direct feedback from your trainer.
