Course Contents

No matter what your interest or level in photography there is something for everyone in the Yorkshire dales and this is a great opportunity to explore the national park and learn how to shoot great landscape images with Nikon School. We will guide you through the correct camera settings to make the most of the beautiful surroundings; covering techniques such as long exposures, using filters, image composition and focusing techniques to ensure you get pin sharp images. The day will be primarily spent around Stainforth (see full address at the bottom of this page), however, we may explore further into the dales depending on the light and weather conditions.

Fitness: Most of the locations involve relatively short walks, but some of the locations will require a walk along uneven tracks and up steep paths. Because of this, a moderate to high level of fitness will be required on this course. Depending on the weather and light we aim to visit several locations that have been specifically chosen for spectacular photography. Please note that in the event of severe weather the locations may have to be altered at the last minute.

If you would like to borrow any camera and lenses for this course please get in contact with us at [email protected] with your request and we will do our best to bring it along. Please note we will need a minimum of one weeks notice for any requests

It is suggested that you bring a packed lunch, snacks and drinks on this course as there are not that many cafes or restaurants nearby. You can travel to Settle for lunch if you want, however, that means you may miss some photographic opportunities

PLEASE NOTE: Google Maps / Sat Nav often does not use the correct postcode for the car park. The What 3 Words location is: ///diagram.alarming.corporate

Or you could try using the postcode of BD24 9PW which is the EV charging point in the car park.
