Overview

Join us for a full day exploring and photographing the stunning scenery at Bolton Abbey in the Yorkshire Dales. This VIP experience is limited to four delegates, allowing us more time to teach you the techniques needed to take great landscape images. Bolton Abbey and the Yorkshire Dales provide an amazing backdrop with sweeping landscapes, rivers, waterfalls and ruins. Being in a small group also means we can access locations inaccessible to large groups, while also shooting much quicker allowing us to visit many more locations on the day to practice your newly learned skills

Course Contents

No matter what your interest or level in photography there is something for everyone in the Yorkshire dales and this is a great opportunity to explore in a small group and learn how to shoot great landscape images with Nikon School. We will guide you through the correct camera settings to make the most of the beautiful surroundings; covering techniques such as long exposures, using filters, image composition and focusing techniques to ensure you get pin sharp images. The day will primarily spent at Bolton Abbey (see full address at the bottom of this page), however, we may explore further into the dales depending on the light and weather conditions.

Fitness: Most of the locations involve relatively short walks, but some of the locations will require a walk along uneven tracks and up mountain paths. Because of this, a moderate to high level of fitness will be required on this course.

Depending on the weather and light we aim to visit several locations that have been specifically chosen for spectacular photography. Please note that in the event of severe weather the locations may have to be altered at the last minute.

If you would like to borrow any cameras or lenses for this course please get in contact with us at [email protected] with your request and we will do our best to bring it along. Please note that we require a minimum of one weeks notice for requests

Please note that you will have to pay for parking at Bolton Abbey, this is a single charge that is valid all day for all of the estates car parks

We will endeavour to stop at a local café or restaurant for lunch, however feel free to bring a packed lunch with you if you want
