Join us for a full day exploring and photographing the stunning scenery in Snowdonia National Park. Starting from Betws-y-Coed, the surrounding area provides a stunning photographic backdrop with sweeping landscapes, mountain views, lakes, industrial ruins, lone trees and waterfalls.
No matter what your interest or level in photography there is something for everyone in Snowdonia and this is a great opportunity to explore the national park and learn how to shoot great landscape images with the Nikon School team. We will guide you through the correct camera settings to make the most of the beautiful surroundings; covering techniques such as long exposures, using filters, image composition and focusing techniques to ensure you get pin sharp images. Weather depending, you are also welcome to join us for a optional Sunrise and Sunset shoots and maybe even some Astro photography if the conditions allow
This is a great photography day where you can learn new skills, photograph amazing locations and photograph with like minded people as we take our small group around the National Park
Meeting Point:
We will be starting from and returning to the Waterloo Hotel in Betws-y-Coed
Fitness: Most of the locations involve relatively short walks, but some of the locations will require a walk along uneven tracks and up mountain paths. Because of this, a moderate to high level of fitness will be required on this course.
Depending on the weather and light we aim to visit several locations that have been specifically chosen for spectacular photography. Please not that in the event of severe weather the locations may have to be altered at last minute.
Please note accommodation is not be included in the course
Joining instructions will be sent out closer to the time.
This workshop is one of a number of individual days photographing the landscapes and coastlines of Snowdonia. Please see the website for more information on the other days
If you would like to borrow any cameras or lenses for this course please get in contact with us at [email protected] with your request. We require at least 2 weeks notice for any requests and we will do our best to bring them along if we can.
The weather was unsurprisingly rather challenging but in Neil and Ricci, however, we had two instructors who knew the area intimately and were able to guide us to locations where the light was most beneficial. They made a point of ensuring that they were on hand to give valuable guidance to everyone not just on settings but also composition. No matter how satisfied you were with your images, Neil and Ricci were able to make improvements even if only fine tuning.
