LATEST NEWS - During the challenging times we are all facing in the UK, our first thoughts are for the health and wellbeing of our photographic community and staff. With this in mind, Nikon School at Margaret Street will be closed until further notice. In the meantime, Nikon School will be hosting a range of online workshops, talks and seminars.
Nikon School are excited to be teaming up with British Fencing for a brand new workshop to 2019. Throughout this day long course you will have the opportunity to work with two highly skilled athletes, learning how to take both action shots and static portraits.
On this day long workshop our Nikon School trainers will help guide you through everything you need to in order to come away with some fantastic fencing images. We will cover how to shoot controlled action shots, static sports portraits and composition, using high shutter speeds and how to use both speedlights and continuous lighting sources whilst on location. Explore and play with light and gels to create exciting and dynamic images for your portfolio.
Meeting point: This workshop will run on location at the Leon Paul Fencing Centre in London where British Fencing train - please see full address below.
Catering: Lunch and tea/coffee will be provided throughout the day. Please let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements.
Parking: There is no parking available at this venue and limited on street parking. We recommend delegates to use public transport to get to this destination.
Average customer rating for this course:
"I booked on the day to learn about photographing Fencing and to ensure that I had my Z7 set up optimally. The day was excellently hosted by Neil with loads of instruction/hints and tips - The fencers were patient with photographers putting up with our requests. The day was a perfect mix of action, portraits, and staged shots - that pushed me outside of my comfort zone. Highly recommend"
"Housed in the size of an aeroplane hanger Leon Paul Fencing was a great way to learn camera settings for a fast sport. We had two fencers to photograph in many different ways. There was food on arrival and a good lunch and plenty to drink! 10.30 - 4.30 gave us lots of experience in dealing with fast action, portrait etc."
"I really enjoyed the fencing photography event. Neil is a great communicator and very good at giving time to all people on the day. It was a small group which meant we felt we had enough time to photograph the athletes and to meet and share tips with other photographers. "
"Great course, and got out of it exactly what I wanted with Neil's assistance and teaching. "
"Excellent location, good lighting conditions, very friendly staff and two extremely professional athletes, complimented with the expertise of Neil Freeman and an array of Nikon equipment to play with, whats not to like - amazing workshop - well done Nikon"
