Join Nikon School in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow at Andover’s Hawk Conservancy that has over 150 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in spectacular daily flying demonstrations, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects.
Our day will centre around the British Birds at the Conservency and will include flying demonstrations and close up opportunities. We will have our own dedicated falconers on hand to engage and explain each bird to us and indeed put the birds through their paces on our behalf.
Photography can be very rewarding and difficult all at the same time and this will really push the boundaries of both of those statements. Working with a Nikon School trainer throughout the day we will help you capture pin-sharp and interesting images of many magnificent birds.
Lunch will be provided.
If you would like to borrow any kit for this course please get in contact with us at [email protected] with your request and we will do our best to bring it along.
It was very helpful to have the briefing session allowing questions before venturing out to take photographs. Ricci encouraged us to ask questions and was available with suggestions right through the day. Having alternative Nikon equipment available to try is a really good idea although unfortunately it has tempted us to consider buying another lens. It was an excellent day and I learned a great deal. I tried settings I have not used before and have some decent photos to show for it. I would be very happy to do another course in the hope of improving further.
Once you have completed the course on location, or the training online, use your online portal access to upload your photos, share them with others on the course in the gallery area, compare ideas and results, plus get direct feedback from your trainer.
