This workshop will show you how to shoot urban portraits on location regardless of the light available in the scene. This is a ‘hands-on’ practical workshop, we will be working with reflectors, light diffusers, coloured gels and off camera speedlights showing you how you can shoot creative urban portraits inside or outside. By using speedlights and gels we will teach you how you can easily add depth, drama and atmosphere to your images. This will enable you to create and capture complex looking portraits using a range of simple and easy to use lighting tricks and techniques
This Nikon School workshop will explain the steps, tricks and tips needed to shoot great portraits with either single or multiple speedlights and coloured gels.

• Understanding and working with light
• Shaping, modifying and diffusing light
• Managing backgrounds and shadows
• Using multiple speedlights
• Mixing ambient light with flash light
• Colouring light
• Creative Shooting – maximising your images
• Post Processing and RAW Workflow
• Printing your Images
It is assumed that those attending will have a basic knowledge of photography and speedlights. you will need an understanding of aperture, shutter priority and exposure, or have already attended either Getting Started / Getting Creative with DSLR Photography or Speedlights workshops
