Course Contents

On this workshop, you will have chance to learn about a range of different high end portrait lighting techniques and the best best camera settings and lens choice to ensure you come away with terrific images. Our small group size means that everyone will get chance to photograph the models in a range of different poses and shooting locations

Over the two days, you should be able to come away with a solid understanding of various lighting setups and styles and the accompanying images for your portfolio. With three professional models, and a small group size, you will be working on a ratio of 3 photographers to each model to ensure a premium photography experience

The two-day design also allows questions from Day 1 to be addressed and solved on Day 2 so you can really see the results of your learning experience and be more inclined to experiment.

Throughout the two days, you’ll participate in photographing different portrait setups, image critique and editing sessions, lighting and camera Q&A's. Between Joe McNally and the Nikon School experts on hand you will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn a huge amount about lighting and portrait photography. Joe McNally will offer ongoing tips and stories throughout this multi-day experience and ways to remain motivated, versatile and inspired when on a shoot

As we conclude the workshop on the second day, we will take you through the process for editing and creating fine art prints so you can actually print you images onsite on an Epson printer. This will allow you to leave the workshop with high quality fine art prints of the images you have taken

As a bonus experience, Joe McNally and Nikon School will be hosting an online pre-briefing class for everyone booked on the workshop to answer any questions you may have and to help you prepare for the workshop. This online element to the workshop will take place a few weeks before the location workshop and we will send out more infomation closer to the time. This will ensure that the entire group can hit the ground running from the very first moments when we get on location.

This workshop is has limited spaces and so don’t miss this chance to work with one of the world’s top photographers and multi-faceted educators today.

Notes:

There is no parking at the location (more information to be provided once you have booked). We strongly suggest you travel by train or underground

Latest course reviews...

A masterclass in how to run a masterclass.

I had high expectations for this masterclass with Joe McNally and I wasn't disappointed. The location was wonderful, the number of attendees was small, the four beautiful models were really helpful and patient and we got great advice and attention from all of the trainers and the support team. Other than being longer, I can't think of any other improvements to make. Truly excellent and I'm amazed at how many keepers I came home with and watching Joe work to build an image was a real treat.
