Join us on location at Ashridge House to learn how to create, setup and shoot fine art and high fashion portraits using off camera speedlights. This is a ‘hands-on’ practical workshop, where we will be showing you how to visualise, setup and light a complex image using multiple off camera speedlights. Working with a range of light modifiers we will be shooting stunning images both inside and outside, using speedlights to create depth and atmospheric images regardless of the light available. We will end with a session on finishing and editing your images in a digital darkroom that will show you how to get the best from the images shot on the day
This is a practical ‘hands-on’ workshop suitable for photographers with an understanding of ISO, aperture, shutter speed and off camera flash.
The primary aim of this workshop is photographing the model in with a variety of different lighting setups and light modifiers to create Fine Art and High Fashion inspired images.
Please note you will get the most out of this workshop if your camera is capable of supporting the Nikon radio flash system (AWL). Fully compatible cameras are: D850, D500, D5, Z6, Z7. Other cameras are welcome, but we may have to change some setups to use the line of sight flash triggers which may restrict the creativity you can achieve in the images.
Excellent setting - excellent model - a small group (8) of friendly attendees, which was about the correct number for the course and with excellent guidance from Neil. Well recommended. Big thanks to Elizabeth for acting as a lighting stand...
