Coffee Cakes and Cameras - Entertainment Photography: Conor McDonnell

Nikon School is delighted to host a coffee morning with our newest Nikon Ambassador Conor McDonnell. This event is an informal gathering for all levels of photographers who are interested in entertainment photography with the added benefit of being able to try out the latest Nikon cameras, lenses and speedlights if you want. There will be the opportunity afterwards to ask questions and talk about photography tips and techniques.

OVERVIEW OF COURSE CONTENTS:

Since getting a press pass to a gig to shoot his favourite band (aged just 16), Conor McDonnell has built a barnstorming career – including touring with Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris, and photographing the Big Day for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Insights & ideas in a relaxed format

REVIEWER: Adrian F.

DATE: JULY 2018

RATING: 5 of 5

"A great informal get together in which Connor took us through his personal journey into the world of photography in the music industry and his personal environmental photography. It was also interesting to look through some of his impressive portfolio and understand the background to the images and approaches used. All done with some coffee and cakes."

How to become an entertainment photographer

REVIEWER: Jeanette T.

DATE: JUNE 2018

RATING: 5 of 5

"It was very interesting listening to Connor telling us how he managed to get noticed from the age of 16 into the world of entertainment - wanting to see his favourite band without a ticket and emails etc.to the management to get a free ticket and hisis persistence with emails to these people and deciding not to use an agency. His photography of him in the Arctic were fascinating - his relaxation hobby!"
