We will be covering techniques such as long exposures, using filters, image composition and focusing techniques to ensure you get pin sharp images.

Depending on the weather and light we aim to visit locations such as; Carrick-a-rede, Dark Hedges, Dunluce Castle, Ballintoy Harbour, Giants Causeway as well as many excellent but lesser known photographic locations that are known only to our local guides.

This workshop is limited to 8 delegates with two Nikon School tutors and plus two local drivers / guides. We will be working in groups of 4 delegates per Nikon School tutor at some of the locations to ensure that you can get great images.

Notes:

This is a Photographic workshop and will we prioritise the opportunity for you to shoot great images above everything. We will plan each day around the weather and light, which means that meal times may be at non standard times. Depending on the weather and light we aim to visit several locations that have been specifically chosen for spectacular photography. In the event of severe weather the locations may have to be altered at last minute as the weather can be very unpredictable in Northern Ireland even in September.

Fitness: Most of the locations involve relatively short walks, but some of the locations will require a walk along uneven tracks or rocky, seaweed covered beaches. Because of this a moderate level of fitness will be required on this course.

Accommodation: Is not included in this workshop. Neil and Ricci will be staying at a hotel in central Belfast and the workshop will start and finish at this hotel each day.

Meals: During the day we will endeavour to stop at a local cafe or restaurant for lunch or we may find a local supermarket so you can buy lunch, snacks and drinks.

Transport: We will be travelling in 2 people carriers. There is more than enough room for tripods and camera bags. Weather permitting this ensures we can also get to some locations that minibuses and coaches can't access.

Other: Please bring walking boots and suitable clothing for being outside on the coast and standing around taking landscape images and long exposure shots.

Joining Instructions: We will provide further information in joining instructions that will be sent out closer to the workshop starting

This workshop is 1 of 3 individual days - if you book all three days you will be entitled to a 10% discount.

If you have any questions about this workshop, feel free to get in touch with us at [email protected]
